Soon on the go for the real stuff!

Hi guys,

Here I am, ready for next adventures ! On the 8th of November, if the weather forecast is good, I will begin my Atlantic crossing on Mistral, a 35ft sail boat, with Michel, around 60yrs old and Jerome, in his 30's.
Destination: the Caribbean. Jerome will get off the boat in Martinique where he's found a job and me.... well I'll see how things go. My goal is to learn how to sail with an experienced person, then have fun and cruise along the caribbean.

What I already know is that this crossing will be way different from the 1st one I made 2 years ago on a luxuary 96ft sail boat!
For this trip, with only the 3 of us (and Jerome has no sailing experience at all!), nobody to cook for us (what a shame, anybody interested ?!!!) and not much space inside, my only hope is that the weather will be fine as I will spend more of the time on the deck...

I have to say I am a little bit scared but at the same time I can't wait to be already gone ! I think I'll be a different person after this trip and it will certainly be an amazing sailing and human experience, leading me to discover the world, other people and ... myself !!!

One thing is sure, to all of you, my friends and adopted family, I'd like to say thank you.
Thanks for your friendship, for your love and support.
Thanks for the moments we spent together, for what you gave me.
Thanks for those who stayed in touch, by email or thought.
Wherever I go, you are and will be with me in my trips.

From thursday onwards, communicating will certainly be difficult or even impossible for quite some time. Hard to tell for how long as it will depend on weather conditions but according to the boat size, we think it's gonna take us a month, a month and a half to cross. Stopover in the Canary Islands, then Cape Verde, and the Caribbean.

So, see ya soon, I'll keep in touch through this blog, for you to follow my adventures, certainly lots of ups (and downs maybe!), tiredness for sure (!), heaps of crazy moments, and no doubt I'll have some wonderful photos and moments of happiness to share!

I send you a million hug and kisses. Behave yourselves and don't do anything too crazy while I'm gone!
