A Swedishman in Barcelona

There are not many swedish in Spain... yet, Jonas lived in Barcelona for 6 months when he was a student.
Funny story, we met in Les Saintes in last february, when I was on holidays at Bérangère's place and he was spending a week holiday at the UCPA. I went sailing on a Hobbie Cat; he was there at the right time to take an amazing picture, and speaking of our day later, we both realized it was me on the photo he had taken!
I took his email address to get the picture, we kept in touch and there we go. He finally decided to come over for a mediterranean flavoured week end to change a little bit from the cold in Sweden. Isn't life unbelievable?

We spent a really nice week end. Walking in the iluminated streets of Barcelona, who, just like Paris, did well with Christmas decorations, quite stunning too. We hangged out in the famous Passeig de Gracia, Barcelona's "Champ Elysées" where the most luxurious shops are located and where you can also spot in front of Chanel some stars travelling incognito...!!

On saturday night, we had a really awesome time watching the musical Mamma Mia where I took Jonas keeping it as a surprise... not quite a surprise actually as he had already seen it in Sweden... and that's where the poor stupid Frenchy that I am discovered that the band Abba she is so fond of and whose songs she loves is swedish!!!
Funny hey? Here I am then, with a swedish guy, watching this show whose female hero is called Sophie!!! Well, we absolutely loved it! Jonas even preferred it to the one he saw in Sweden and we all ended up clapping, standing up, singing and dancing ! We were ready to keep on dancing and went to the Mojito, a latino night club to dance some salsa, reggaeton, and other latino music. A really nice night!

On sunday, we decided to do some hiking and went to the Tibidabo mountain. I had been wanting to see it from so long! True really, you can spot it from many different places, high up in the background and illuminated by night time!
We do it Sophie's way, ie walking! Yes, sorry guys, we are not like this bunch of lazy people taking the tram! For me to really enjoy a place like this located at the top of a mountain, I need to deserve it. On the way, we enjoyed some really amazing houses, ate some "arbouses" (red fruits on the picture) and after a good race of 500m, we got there just in time to appreciate the look out and the fabulous show of Mother Nature.

Awesome! Amazing, grand, great, magical. There are no words strong enough... enjoy the pictures, we could hardly believe our eyes...
We did well to run like rabbits to be able to enjoy all the steps of this fantastic sunset. Really, there are days like this when I feel totally happy, outside, breathing some fresh air, filling myself up with beauty, space, energy, but now is the time for you to see it by yourself...

Ok, to be honest, we freezed our balls off, the wind was pretty strong and we finally decided to fight against the cold with a yummy "Chocolat viennois" for Miss Sophie and an Irish Coffee for Monsieur! Got to keep the machine going!

So what d'ya reckon? Am I not right when I tell you there are heaps of stuff to do in Barcelona... so when are you coming for a visit?
I have just moved out. Good bye Espe et Eva you can see in the pictures, with nice sunnies playing the fool!
Now I have a nice bedroom, bigger and quieter than the other one, with also a good view from the terrace, even if I cannot see the sea anymore! Hey, not easy to have it all bro!
