Frenchy in Paris

If I say the "Eiffel Tower", "Montmartre" or "Sacré Coeur", or again "Notre Dame", everybody will know I am talking about the most famous places in Paris.
For once, I played the real tourist and went to all of them! The real treat!

I think I had been to the Eiffel Tower when I was a kid and never again since. It was about time! Of course, as I was with my sister's family, I did not climb the stairs but took the lift. The view over there was pretty amazing, the 'Seine' (river of Paris), Montparnasse, Montmartre and other nice buildings. Freezing too, as it was crazily windy. Proof is they had closed the 3rd floor, too dangerous for tourists!
Jeanne, my lovely Goddaughter loved it, walking all over the places and cracking up to see her Dad from the floor above!

Going up the stairs of Montmartre was also very nice. Lots of tourists there, a glimpse of 'Amelie', my favorite movie, pretty cool cafés and restaurants, lots of shops, and a nice atmosphere.

On Saturday, as I was looking after Jeanne, the parents being away for a day at a party, we went to the famous 'Galeries Lafayettes' with their amazing Christmas windows, decorated for the occasion with awesome animated animals.
I am not too sure Jeanne realized everything. She did seem interested, but was maybe more attracted by other kids than by what was happening in the windows.
I absolutely loved it, so cute and funny. A magic world for kids... and for grown ups too!

There is really something special in Paris. You want to sit down at a café and just watch people, and go shopping! We also went to see the cathedral Notre Dame, a really nice one, and walked along the canal, and had a crack up with Jeanne dancing while musicians were playing rock on a bridge, then we finished the day drinking a fantastic hot chocolate!
We ended up eating a fantastic meal with only delicacies bought at 'Lafayette Gourmets', only yummy stuff and with a really good New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc I had offered them, it was a real fest!

Nice to spend time with my family, with Jeanne, so easy going, smiling and already a real woman. She absolutely loves handbags and mine was her favorite. Two were better than one though! She made me crack up, and it's cool to get her dressed as if she was a doll, lots of fun for me. She also loved my woolen binny, and found it very interesting to wear... so did I!

I had 4 fantastic days with my family and was glad to visit places I've always wanted to come back to. Done Frenchy! What's next now?
